Phacopida is een orde van trilobieten die leefden van het Ordovicium tot het Devoon. Het bestaat uit een morfologisch diverse groep verwante suborders.
De oorsprong van de Phacopida orde is onzeker. Het bestaat uit drie suborders ( Phacopina , Calymenina , en Cheirurina ), die een onderscheidend protaspis (in de ontwikkelingsfase ontbrekende segmenten) type delen. De Cheirurina en Calymenina behouden een rostrale plaat (een apomorphy ), maar in vrijwel alle Phacopina zijn de vrije wangen gevormd uit een enkel stuk.
